Reference Guide
The HexIcmp ActiveX component provides a simple but comprehensive interface to Microsoft's
ICMP.DLL.
Many Internet diagnostic programs, including ping and traceroute, base their operation
on ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) echo requests. HexIcmp makes it easy to write
your own diagnostic code using ICMP.
HexIcmp's interface is simple but powerful. It passes along almost every capability of
the original ICMP.DLL, allowing you to create sophisticated programs that wouldn't be
possible with most overly-simplified Ping components.
