The HexLookup ActiveX component provides basic DNS services such as IP address resolution, reverse lookups,
and obtaining the local machine name. In other words, HexLookup allows you to get complete
address information about remote hosts on the Internet as well as the local machine
itself.
HexLookup services complement those of other HexGadgets. These
components either accept or produce IP addresses expressed as 4-byte integers.
For the sake of user interfaces, however, IP addresses are typically entered and displayed
as either fully-qualified domain names like "www.hexillion.com" or dotted
numerical addresses like "207.86.244.234". HexLookup provides conversions
back and forth between these formats.
